Hi everyone - We find ourselves in a tough spot with respect to achieving the vision we've laid out for a 20th year celebration. We had a good energy bump in announcing the event, but unfortunately we haven't been able to pull together the teams of people necessary to get all of the work done either fast, or thorough enough.
At this point in time, with only 5 months to go until the announced date - we need to either get the right groups of folks together or radically reshape what it is that we'll attempt to do, including considering cancellation.
Please take this note for what it's worth - it isn't a plea for help (although I could be easily convinced to make it so :-) ) - but rather a communication to let you know the effort is at a serious crossroads.
Jennifer and I need to secure 6 leaders for the efforts (Recognition, Banquet Entertainment, Banquet Logistics, Alumnae Game, Soccer clinic/speaker, Brunch) below - and we need to do so by April 25th. If you can make the time and effort to *lead* those efforts - and coordinate with Jennifer and myself, and we are available to help - send us both an email before 4/25. The important issue here is leadership, we need folks who can take these areas and run with them. We've got some of the "infrastructure" components lined up - but to make it an event we need these sub-groups to get active, quickly.
Apologies in advance for duplicates - I'll be posting to the ning site and facebook shortly.
Thanks.
-kevin
